Shropshire Training have recently certificated 2 members of staff from Randall Parker Foods with the Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. This has now enabled Randall Parker Foods to have their own assessors on site delivering the new WATOK qualification to all staff responsible for the handling of live animals. Robert Stephens and Graeme Barker successfully completed their course whilst working closely with their advisor, Jake Maddox from Shropshire Training.

Jake explained that both the learners already had the occupational skills but required a formal assessors qualification to allow them to officially assess new members of staff for the WATOK qualification. Going forward we now have a relationship with Randall Parker Foods in which they deliver the qualification on site and Shropshire Training ensure the quality assurance of the programme.

Dale Williams from Randall Parker Foods reiterated that the partnership positively supported all parties including the staff, the assessors and Shropshire Training who continue to be responsible for ensuring quality assurance is maintained throughout the programme.
